"All of us live our lives based on a series of values and beliefs that influence our priorities and decisions".
We have tried to articulate the core values that influence our unique approach to church life and ministry:
We Take God At His Word
God’s Word is our final authority in everything. Therefore, we value expository preaching that faithfully explains the Bible and creatively applies it to life (2 Tim 3:16-17; Psalm 1:1-3; Psalm 19:7-11; Colossians 1:28-29).
It's All About Grace
Our relationship with God stands completely on His grace, expressed in Jesus Christ. God’s grace impacts the way we relate to each other and the wider community, as we treat others with compassion, love and forgiveness, without any sense of guilt or coercion (Eph 2:8-9; Rom 5:1-2; Titus 3:3-8; Col 3:12-17).
We Build Bridges Not Walls
We share God’s passion for lost people. We value building genuine friendships with those who don’t know God, so that we may in time have the opportunity to boldly share the gospel of Jesus (Matt 28:18-20; Rom 10:14-15; 2 Cor. 5:16-21; Col 4:2-6).
We're A Go And Do Church
We are a church of action that is committed to demonstrating God’s love for people, by practically serving our local community (Matt 5:13-16; Isa 58:7-10; Luke 10:25-37; James 2:14-26).
We Do Life Together
God has brought us together as a family. We are committed to maintaining unity and building strong, authentic relationships with each other. Therefore we place a high value on small groups (John 15:12-17; Acts 2:42-47; Eph 4:1-6; Rom 12:3-21; Matt 18:15-20).
We Are All In The Game
We are committed to encouraging everyone to find a place to serve, using their God given abilities for building His church. We follow Jesus’ example by serving humbly and generously (1 Cor 12:12-27; John 13:1-17; Phil 2:1-5; 2 Cor 8:1-7).
We Invest In The Next
We value children and youth. We intentionally invest in them and involve them in our church life, encouraging them to grow in their own faith and to share it with their friends (Prov 6:20-22; Deut 6:1-9; Matt 19:13-15; 1 Tim 4:11-12).
One Waka One Direction
Strong, united leadership made up of godly servant-leaders is core to our stability. We also highly value the intentional mentoring and training of emerging leaders (Ps 133:1-3; Acts 20:17-35; Eph 4:11-16; 1 Tim 2:2; 3:1-13).
We Keep It Fresh
We serve a God of creativity and excellence, and we believe we should reflect him by being creative and innovative, and giving God our very best (Ps 33:3; Luke 5:36-39; 1 Cor 9:19-23; Mal 1:6-14; Col 3:17, 23).
