Summit Outreach
At Summit Church outreach happens in four different spheres: Local, Regional, National & Global. In each of those spheres we have different partnerships, and therefore different approaches to outreach
Local Outreach (Invest & Invite)
Local Outreach (Invest & Invite)
Our approach to Local Outreach is all about encouraging people to invest in the lives of their friends & family, with the ultimate purpose of inviting them to a place where they will be presented with the truth of the gospel in a clear, creative & compelling way. An invitation can be to one of three types of events/groups:
Connect
Offering safe environments for building bridges (to Summit Church & Summit Church people)Community Project Botany Community Day
Share
Communicating key elements of the GospelEngage
Inviting people to a relationship with ChristRegional (Serve)
Regional (Serve)
As a church we're committed to building partnerships with, and serving organisations in the broader region of South Auckland, that are already doing an amazing job of serving their local communities. Our desire is not to introduce our own programmes or projects, but to truly serve existing groups in what they're wanting to achieve.
National (Support)
National (Support)
We grateful to be able to partner with, and support a variety of ministries that are working across New Zealand. We support them in a variety of ways - including prayer, promotional, endorsement, logistical, personnel, and financial support.
Global (Strategic Involvement)
Global (Strategic Involvement)
Under the umbrella name of Project Thailand we have partnered with Bright Hope World to be Strategically Involved with the Thailand-based ministry Integrated Tribal Development Program (ITDP). In working with ITDP we have joined a collective of NZ churches called Hill Tribe Hope, which focuses on two rural villages in Northern Thailand.
